Simon Waller is a filmmaker and photographer based in London. He has a number of international clients, including television broadcasters, advertising agencies, charities and FTSE listed companies and specialises in delivering branded content, documentary films, short form high quality films and photography.
Simon established his company in 2008 but has more than fifteen years experience of the creative and design world. More recently Simon has been filmmaking on an international scale, shooting and directing projects across the world. He has also picked up a few awards on the way. Of particular note is ‘The Bliss of Ignorance’; a documentary he made in 2015 about the coal industry and air pollution in South Africa. ‘The Bliss of Ignorance‘ was screened at a festival held to coincide with the COP21 climate change debate in Paris, where he also appeared on a Q&A panel following the showing. Another of his films; ‘Life on the Streets‘, a documentary short about homelessness was screened at a fringe event at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016.
Over the years he has met and filmed an amazing collection of people (an aspect of his job that he loves) including homeless men and women and those that help them back into society, adults and children around the globe who suffer from rare blood disorders, owners of multi-national brands, corporate board executives and headline festival acts performing live on stage in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans.
Simon was introduced to the principles of photography and stop frame animation by his mother, an art teacher, when he was a youngster. Decades later Simon is still in love with photography; an art form that captures light and pauses time. Simon is a member of the Association of Photographers (AOP) and has been exhibited in both collaborative and solo shows in London. He’s even made it onto the long-list of the highly prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year award.
Simon has vast experience of working both solo where he delivers on all stages of production and post-production, and as part of larger crews. Where needed, he calls upon his strong network of creative professionals to deliver the specifics of any project.
The company comes fully equipped with everything from high-end film and stills cameras to microphones and motorised sliders – anything else can be hired if needed. Rates are of course dependent on type and length of job and the equipment required.
